Leadership.

South Bond's leadership team first met over a decade ago in the iconic South Bond Building while attending urban planning school in Downtown Toronto.  This is a connection that has grown ever since.  Our firm believes in the importance of building and maintaining similar long lasting relationships with the stakeholders we work with.  Respect, trust, integrity and collaboration are the key principles that guide our practice.

Stan Lau

Managing Director

Stan is a Managing Director of South Bond Investments.  He leads all acquisition, disposition, and capital management activities for the firm, along with development, investor relations, corporate strategy and day-to-day management.

Prior to leading South Bond, Stan held senior positions at Great West Life Realty Advisors and Freed Developments, where he led acquisition activities, strategy and initiatives for the firm.  He started his career at CBRE Limited, a global real estate services firm.

Stan holds a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from Cornell University and Queen's University (dual program).  Stan has also completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School (in Real Estate) and Rotman School of Management.

Jake Murray

Managing Director

Jake is a Managing Director of South Bond Investments.  He leads all planning and investment analysis for the firm, along with development management, operations, corporate strategy and day-to-day management.

Prior to leading South Bond, Jake advised high net-worth individuals and corporations in the fields of planning and development.  He also held increasingly senior positions at Podium Developments and Freed Developments, leading all internal planning and development analysis for the firm.

Jake holds a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), with a minor in Economics, and has completed additional education in real estate finance and economics at the University of British Columbia.  He is currently completing his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Wilfrid Laurier University.
